Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant

A prestigious London based law firm are currently looking to recruit an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant to join them on an interim basis on a 6 months contract.
 
You will be working closely with the Group CFO, previous experience within financial planning and analysis is essential and experience on implementing wider finance processes would be advantageous.
 
The firm offer hybrid working with a mix of office and home working.
 
Duties include

• Engaging with departmental and divisional managers to build ‘zero based’ departmental and case budgets
• Report on actual vs budget and investigate variances on a global and divisional basis
• Developing financial models for presentation to CFO, FD and FC
• Assist and partner with front office legal teams in preparing budgets for proposed new cases and assessing the validity of the assumptions used
• Refine methodology used to value ongoing cases and update the assumptions within the valuations on a regular basis
• Ongoing maintenance of the payroll forecast and validation against actuals
• Develop reports that interpret data in a way that is understandable for both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Analyse financial and non-financial information to produce management information for reporting
• Assist with the development and preparation of the monthly management reporting pack
• Maintain feedback loop with Finance Operations on accuracy of data entry and contribute ideas on Finance processes to strengthen input
• Analyse work in progress (WIP) by interrogating data from our WIP reporting system for reporting to management and assessing case profitability
