A local authority based in North London is seeking an Inquests Legal Assistant for an initial period of 3 months.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following:
- Liaise with family members of the bereaved Draft letters and responses Liaise with third parties Send out legal notices and respond to requests Assist the Inquests Manager with general administrative duties at the coroners court in North London.
Essential requirements:
- Law degree as a minimum Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and FOI Experience of dealing with complex and sensitive issues Experience of deling with legal claims
Ideally you will have experience liaisng with public agencies such as the NHS and Police.
This role will require someone to attend the coroners court 5 days per week. You may in due course be able to work from home up to 2 days per week.
