Your new role
An Assistant General Counsel position for EMEA and APAC, backfilling the role of another senior lawyer who has been promoted within the organisation. With line management of three lawyers and responsibility for one of the key technology business verticals, you will report into the US-based Group General Counsel. Using your rich commercial technology background, you will take charge of a team that will negotiate all kinds of commercial and technology contracts from a B2B perspective (including SaaS), while advising across the business on risk, IP, privacy and other crucial matters.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an E&W qualified lawyer with strong in-house exposure in a technology environment (including SaaS contracts), with c. 10 PQE (as a guide only). Ideally you will have a measure of people management experience. You must be credible when liaising with decision-makers at senior levels, while you will have an appreciation of the strategic side of a legal leadership role. The team goes into the office in a 50% hybrid working model, so you will need to be able to go into the City.
