Legal Counsel, Insurance

Superb development opportunities are on offer to a junior to mid-level lawyer with a passion for insurance at this leading international insurance company based in the City. You will join a small team of commercial and insurance lawyers and have a focus on legal work coming out of the wordings and claims teams.  You will build a strong relationship and your own franchise with the wordings team, plugging gaps in their expertise from a legal perspective. You will be required to review policies, and look at processes and historical procedures to improve them and grow the precedent bank with the support of external counsel. Together with the rest of the team you will work on general commercial matters such as NDAs and supplier contracts, and regulatory issues as you regularly liaise with the compliance team. You will be expected to provide legal training to the business, helping with templates and providing training sessions to juniors.

Our client is looking for someone keen to develop their career, someone who doesn’t want to be restricted but wants to grow their experience in other areas across legal. We are looking for someone with between 1 and 5 years’ experience who can ideally bring a strong law firm relationship. You can come from a contentious or non-contentious background.
