Head of Legal: UK, EMEA and APAC

Your new company
Based in Manchester, this business-to-business, technology solutions provider within the media and entertainment sector, has an established client base and strong international presence. The legal department is looking for a driven and talented senior commercial lawyer (c10 pqe as a guide) who wants to develop their career with a global company in a varied and business-facing role.

Your new role
You will join a growing and ambitious legal team, where you will support the business on a range of legal matters including complex commercial contracts management, drafting and negotiating supply agreements, providing strategic advice at all levels, dealing with international matters and managing the relationship with external lawyers where necessary. You will take a lead on strategic legal projects as well as developing a small team. This role offers a unique proposition for career progression and growth and you will work closely with the business, up to exec level on an international scale.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK qualified solicitor with a solid commercial contracts background and experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating high value and complex contracts, ideally with a background in technology contracts and IP. You will have practised with a well-regarded law firm or in-house team and have excellent relationship building skills in order to work effectively across the business and make commercial decisions. International and cross-border experience is also highly relevant as is line management experience. This would suit a strong commercial contracts solicitor with effective relationship building skills who can engage with the business and is results driven.
