Associate Solicitor - Debt Capital Markets

The Role:

This Top 25 UK law firm is seeking an Associate to join its Legal 500 recognised Debt Capital Markets Team based in the City of London, with flexibility for home working.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the top City law firms. You will be joining the DCM team, sitting within the larger Banking department, which is widely regarded as a market-leading team in the UK.

There will be the opportunity to undertake cross-departmental work, cooperating with the firm's Tier 1 Legal 500 ranked Housing Finance team. The team works with an appetising selection of household names in the banking sector, as well as local authorities, clients in healthcare sector and housing associations.

Other clients include UK institutional investors, in the insurance, financial and defence sectors - many of which are found in the FTSE 100.

As an associate in the DCM team, you will advise investors, trustees, bookrunners and issuers across a variety of publicly offered and listed bond issues and privately placed transactions - both secured and unsecured.

You will gain excellent access to clients, enabling you to develop long-lasting relationships. As mentioned above due to the cross-departmental cooperation this role will provide the opportunity to work across the social housing and local authority sectors and on corporate issuance, providing greater variety in your work.

Requirements:

• NQ - 3 PQE Solicitor qualified in England & Wales
• Experience as part of a well-regarded finance practice
• Knowledge of London listed public bond issues (specialist DCM knowledge not required)
• Team driven and proactive
