The Role

This Top 40 UK law firm is seeking an Associate Solicitor to join its Tier 1 Private Client team based in the City of London.

Joining a Legal 500 Tier 1 Tax Trust & Succession team, you will be part of one of the most prestigious Private Wealth teams nationally.

This is a role ideal for those seeking to propel their career to new heights, as you will work with a number of high-profile partners, many of whom are recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers. There are strong prospects for rapid progression and those at the Senior Associate level are also encouraged to apply.

You will find a varied caseload, making for much more of an interesting role. There is no such thing as a typical client, the core profile of the firm's clients are wealthy families, often with a number of family trusts and grant-making charitable trusts.

Assets are likely to include shares in family-owned businesses, quoted investments, bespoke open-ended investment companies, hedge funds, landed estates and property.

The team also acts for business executives, entrepreneurs who have generated their own wealth, and families whose assets have accumulated over the generations.

The mainstay of this role will focus on the jurisdiction of the UK, though the practice is known for having a substantial offshore, international aspect to the practice. Therefore, knowledge of cross-border elements of tax planning will be beneficial.
