Role: Permanent (37 hours - part time considered)

Salary: £43,516 to £46,549 (pro rata for part time)

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working in partnership with a shared Legal Team that has recently joined forces to create a new legal services offering. It is an exciting time to be part of the team and shape its future. The legal team provides the full range of legal services across both authorities.

The current vacancy lies within the Property and Commercial Team and is for a lawyer specialising in commercial property transactions. You will be directly involved in varied and high-quality legal work and make a positive difference to local communities. The property related work is incredibly varied and can include standard transactional matters relating to leases and licences, alongside Landlord and Tenant work and larger projects relating to regeneration and housing developments. You will join an expanding legal team that is both friendly and supportive, with a strong team ethic. You will support two progressive, ambitious local authorities involved in a range of exciting projects in a great part of the country.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate significant experience in commercial property law. This is a fantastic role for those seeking autonomy at work. You will hit the ground running with your own case load of challenging commercial property matters including high profile project work, sales, acquisitions and landlord and tenant work. We seek applications from enthusiastic and adaptable people who are motivated to use their research, analytical and communication skills to provide practical, solution-focussed legal advice to internal clients.

Previous commercial property experience may have been gained from within the private sector, or another public sector organisation. You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister/FILEX with a current Practising Certificate or eligible to apply for a Practising Certificate. You will join a sizable team of 15 lawyers and 2 members of support staff.
