Sellick Partnership are working with a Local Authority situated in the North West who require an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join their busy team.

The client is seeking a candidate with previous litigation experience, ideally gained within a public sector organisation, to start with them at short notice.

As a Litigation Lawyer there will be a varied caseload of litigation and prosecution matters.

The workload will include a mixed bag, including:

  • Fly-tipping
  • Enforcement of breach of planning conditions
  • Trading Standards
  • Legal advisor for taxi and liquor licensing panels and dealing with appeals in Magistrates Court
  • Non school attendance prosecutions
  • Adult Social Debt recovery
  • Anti Social Behaviour i injunctions, advise on PSPO's, housing related matters
  • Assisting with advice on Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information queries

The position is to begin immediately on a 3-4 day basis for an initial period of 3 months although it is likely to go on longer than that. Being local to Greater Manchester is favourable for the client however candidates who are seeking a more flexible and remote working pattern will also be considered.
