Leading West End firm is searching for a Litigation PSL to produce high-quality knowledge content for its dispute resolution team.
Commended for its Magic Circle quality, the firm’s Dispute Resolution team regularly work across shareholder litigation, investment claims, professional negligence matters, corporate and post-transactional litigation and funded litigation. The team requires the addition of a new PSL with expertise in commercial litigation, but with sufficient flexibility to support the Contentious Trusts and Estates team, who will be pivotal to the successful organisation and development of the contentious practice groups.
The PSL will be expected to keep up to date on developments in current law, best practice and market trends and create appropriate and engaging knowledge materials to support all relevant legal groups in providing exceptional outcomes for clients. They will be expected to assist fee earners with technical legal and matter management queries and ensure that the resulting know-how is captured and shared across the relevant groups. This will involve establishing and maintaining a centralised precedent bank, including liaising with business support functions as to precedent management and security, identifying and reviewing relevant external precedents for use and publicising them to the groups.
The PSL will be supported by administrative assistance from the firm’s centralised Knowledge Co-ordinator. The role is three days per week, with Wednesday and Thursday as working days and an expectation of at least two days a week being office-based.
Key requirements:
• England and Wales qualified lawyer with strong sense of commerciality alongside technical excellence.
• Expertise in commercial dispute resolution, ideally with flexibility to support the Contentious Trusts and Estates team.
• Excellent understanding of how a law firm operates as a business.
• Interest in legal technology and its associated efficiencies.
• Confident presenter with ability to think creatively to maximise audience engagement.
