Interim Legal Counsel, West Midlands – This global organisation is seeking a professional and highly capable Legal Counsel with a successful international company. JOB TITLE:      Interim Legal Counsel
LOCATION:     West Midlands
SALARY:         Circa £60,000-£80,000 per annum dependent upon experience

THE ROLE:
A well established global organisation is offering a new opportunity to cover a 12month fixed term contract providing maternity cover. In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Legal, providing commercial and corporate assistance across the European region. The appointed Legal Counsel is expected to take the lead on complex contracts and queries raised by the contract review team, and to build relationships at a local level to ensure efficient and effective service provision to the business. You may also be involved in mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactional matters. As an experienced Legal Counsel, you will be expected to provide legal advice and support to CEO and Board level. THE CANDIDATE:
This organisation is looking for a qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales, with at least 3 years of company commercial experience, and experience working inhouse is desirable. This role requires a professional Legal Counsel with excellent communication skills to build relationships with a wide range of client departments and across various geographical locations. As well building relationships with colleagues, as collaborative working is essential to be successful in this role. The appointed Legal Professional will be motivated to achieve the best commercial outcomes for continuing the success of the organisation. This role is due to commence April/May 2023 and so you will have availability to commence a 12month contract around that time.
