An international legal firm is seeking an Insurance Litigation Solicitor to join their Global Insurance Department in London to undertake a variety of insurance work
Client Details
The client is an international with offices across Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America and a top tier insurance firm. The client works with some of the biggest insurance companies in the UK.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Insurance Litigation Solicitor include;
- Advising on a mixed workload of insurance matters in relation to property and construction insurance disputes
- Defending policyholders and advising insurers on coverage across a wide range of insurance policies and issues.
- Conducting both pre-action and litigated matters as well as assisting more senior fee-earners.
- Liaising directly with experts and counsel
- Drafting witness statements and other documents
- Ensuring billable hours requirement are met (1440 hours)
Profile
The successful Insurance Litigation Solicitor will
- Have excellent academics
- A UK, Australia, New Zealand qualified solicitor between 3-6PQE
- Have demonstrated experience working as an Insurance Litigation Solicitor in private practice
- Have great oral and written communication skills
