LEGAL COUNSEL, (Tech Startup)

Our client is a fast-growing B2B Reg-Tech Startup seeking to hire a Legal Counsel to assist a newly appointed General Counsel. This business is backed by a globally acclaimed financial advisory and consulting firm which has already enabled the business to signup an impressive portfolio of clients mainly consisting of 35 global banks. The business offers a really innovative sanction clearing technology platform that will transform how banks operate sanction compliance around the world.

You will assist the General Counsel and provide legal support to the business, mainly drafting and negotiating contracts of which many will be focused on IT development and IT commercial development. You will assist the General Counsel by supporting senior management and leadership teams on commercial matters where strong legal and pragmatic advice is required.

The ideal candidate will have trained at a leading International Law Firm and have gained in-house experience from a current position or secondment. Candidates with legal knowledge of the Reg Tech or Fin Tech space would be advantageous. Must be UK Qualified with ideally 2-5yrs PQE and have excellent commercial law and/or IT legal experience. This company is located in central London however can be treated as a hybrid working model on the basis that the candidate works 2-3 days per week in the office.
