Our client is a leading talent and TV production company. Through a combination of organic growth and acquisition, it has expanded and enhanced its portfolio to include the highest quality of scripted programming.
The team is growing and an opportunity has arisen for a media lawyer with scripted TV experience to join the business.
You will provide legal and business affairs support and advice across all group companies in the UK, including: talent management, television production, PR and promotions.
Your primary focus will be to support the talent management & scripted television development and production businesses but there will be an opportunity to work across other areas (such as television distribution, theatre etc).

A snapshot of your role will include:
- Negotiating talent agreements, including writing deals, performing and presenting engagements, publishing deals, podcast deals etc
- Supporting the development and training of junior colleagues
- Acting as a lead lawyer in support of the scripted television production business, tasked with negotiating of all types of agreements in respect of the development, financing and production of scripted shows (including commissioning and other key development and production finance agreements, key talent deals, etc.)
- Responsibility for day-to-day pre-production, production and post-production legal & business affairs issues relating to scripted programming
