Sellick Partnership is pleased to be assisting a Hertfordshire based Local Authority with recruitment for a permanent Commercial Contracts Lawyer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Lawyer experienced in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts to join a friendly and supportive legal services team.

The successful Commercial Contracts Solicitor will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of matters. Day to day responsibilities may include;

  • Managing a caseload of complex and sensitive contract and procurement matters including; drafting and commenting on high valie building and civil engineering contracts, service contracts, developing tender documents, advising on contract disputes, ensuring compliance with the Contract Procurement Rules and Financial Regulations as well as having an understanding of other areas of work undertaken by the District Council
  • Acting as the Council's lead negotiator on the legal aspects of contract and procurement

Our client is able to offer a flexible, hybrid working pattern to the successful Commercial Contracts Lawyer.

Whilst previous experience within Local Authority would be desirable, it is not essential.
