£20-25 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Information Officer to work within Democratic and Information Services as part of the City Solicitors Team, offering you an exciting opportunity to support the information governance processes of the local authority. The role is initially for 3 months, pending permanent appointment, however there is a possibility for this to be extended.

As Senior Information Officer, your work will be varied across the whole range of information governance activity and will include:

• Particular focus on support Freedom of Information and Data Protection processes,
• Co-ordinating response processes across all the directorates in the Council
• Preparing responses for those requests requiring public interest considerations.
• Ensure the Council complies with the associated statutory requirements and deadlines for performance.

Local authority experience is preferable however our client is happy to consider experience gained in other sectors.
