• The law firm is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified Solicitor at 3+ PQE to join their Tier 1 Legal 500 Banking & Finance department in Bristol as a Knowledge Development Lawyer.

Your New Role: 

• Your new role as a Knowledge Development Lawyer will require you to become an integral member of the Banking & Finance department, becoming a role model to set the cultural tone of the firm and inspire those in your team.
• You will be expected to work alongside existing Professional Support Lawyers to coordinate and develop comprehensive training programmes.
• You will be required to identify any skill and knowledge gaps, and personally deliver and manage the training process of your team.
• You will need to be a trusted curator of your team's knowledge, be a source of technical know-how, and be able to conduct legal research to stay on top of legal and market developments in banking and finance.
• You will be expected to engage with other PSLs, both internally and externally, regularly.
• Overall, your new role will require you to disseminate your knowledge to others, educating them on aspects relevant to their role and facilitating the sharing of knowledge both within your team and across the firm.
• Additionally, you will assist the Banking & Finance Partners at the firm, implementing the team's business strategy by understanding the specific needs of your clients. To achieve this, you will be working closely with the Marketing, Innovation, and Transformation departments on specific initiatives.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• To succeed, you will be a qualified Banking and Finance Lawyer registered with the SRA or Law Society of Scotland at 3+ PQE, with relevant experience in the core areas of legal finance and restructuring matters.
• You will need to have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive mindset and a keen eye for detail.
• You will be required to have previous experience in sharing technical know-how as you will be the go-to individual for the team on a wide range of issues.
• You should have the confidence to speak up and debate technical issues, with the ability to encourage your team and become an integral member of the department.
• You will be able to effectively manage a varied and complex workload and have the ability to tackle issues as and when they arise.
