Job Title: HR Assistant – Generalist
Salary: to £50,000
Location: Central London – hybrid working pattern
Major American law firm are looking for an HR Assistant to join their human resources team to assist with a mixture of HR and administration functions and support the smooth running of the department.
This is a true generalist role and a small selection of duties will include:
- Onboarding of new joiners including taking out references and preparing employment contracts
- Stakeholder engagement both internal and external
- All aspects of recruitment: liaising with agencies and managing the relationship, arranging interviews, drafting offer letters etc.
- Drafting correspondence
- Updating HR policies
- Organizing exit interviews and assisting with the leavers process
- Organising performance reviews and providing support through the appraisal process
- Responsible for the accurate maintenance, updating and auditing of manual and electronic people related records for staff, members and pupils, to ensure accurate reporting of all aspects of people data
Ideally our client would like 12 months’ experience in legal HR however they will also consider candidates coming from another corporate / professional services background. It is essential that you have strong communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills.
