Reporting into and working alongside the General Counsel & Co Sec, this role operates closely with the Corporate Strategy & Finance Director to provide expert legal advice to support new venture capital fund investing in health tech start-ups.

Description
* Create and own a portfolio of acquisition and investment documentation
- Produce clear appraisal reports to support Board decisions, and be responsible for establishing corporate governance and monitoring of acquisitions where appropriate
- M&A experience from negotiation of the term sheet to signing, including the negotiation and drafting of key terms
* Provide pragmatic advice on a wide range of general corporate and commercial matters
* Draft ancillary documentation (board minutes, shareholder resolutions, etc.) and manage a signing process
* Appraising investments
* Leading legal due diligence
* Appreciation of legal and commercial risk
* Project management skills, with the ability to co-ordinating multiple projects simultaneously, while collaborating with people with a range of backgrounds and capabilities
* Self-confident individual, with sufficient gravitas and experience to command the respect of senior individuals, both within the business and outside of the business, to create collaborative relationships.
* Knowledge of the health industry and market, together with regulatory and compliance provisions would be an advantage.
Profile
Admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales, ideally 3+ years PQE
An ability to advice across the business in both corporate and commercial matters
Ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously to a high standard
