Exclusive role with Larbey Evans - one of our top US law firm clients are looking to add a HR Manager to their established London office in a newly created role for what will be the tenth addition to the HR/Legal Talent & Development team on a permanent basis to support Partners, Counsel, Associates and Support Staff.
Responsibilities will include providing support and guidance to partners, managers and employees in the London office on all employee relations issues such as disciplinary, grievance, absence monitoring and performance management, in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach in line with employment legislation and firm policy, managing investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters, bringing to a resolution as necessary in line with firm policy, developing implementing policies and procedures as well as monitoring effectiveness of policies and initiatives; maintaining the staff handbook and communicating changes, managing maternity and other leave administration including flexible working requests, performing annual background checks for Legal staff, identifying, developing and evaluating effective sources to ensure the most qualified candidates are recruited, interviewed and selected, managing the new starter processes including background checks, right to work checks and conducting orientation for all new joiners.
Candidates need to be CIPD qualified, have previous Senior Officer / HR Business Partner or HR Management experience within a law firm - experience supervising / managing a team will be advantageous. The role will offer a huge amount of autonomy, the ability to lead and implement on strategy and initiatives working closely with the Senior Management in London and wider HR team in US. A salary of up to £75,000 is available depending on experience level, with hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 working from home) plus superb employee benefits.
