COMMERCIAL LAWYER - FTSE 250 MANUFACTURING MULTINATIONAL

About the company:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an junior to mid-level commercial lawyer to join the legal team of a FTSE 250 (c) global manufacturing business. This company is a leader in its field providing critical solutions to the oil & gas, water, power, chemical and wider industrial sectors.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Legal (EMEA & India) you will be responsible for leading on a broad array of critical legal matters for the EMEA & India business, as well as providing wider Group support when required. You will be confident in drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts as well as leading on a range of matters, from compliance and data protection, IP, through to banking and real estate transactions. You will also work closely with internal teams and management in structuring and implementing strategic projects.

About you:

Ideally, you will be 3-6+ PQE with strong post-qualification experience as a commercial lawyer in a top tier law firm and ideally with experience as an in-house counsel. Experience in general commercial contracts, data protection, employment or disputes/litigation would be highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a pro-active approach, have flexibility of mind, be confident in their decision-making and have the ability and desire to work with minimal supervision. Previous experience in the engineering sector would be desirable, but is not essential.
