An opportunity has arisen for a HR Business Partner to join a reputable top 50 firm in Southampton.
As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing resource and strategic planning support to the role’s key business areas, guiding the client teams through the next phase of their people planning. You will also be advising on complex people issues and driving change where necessary.

As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing resource and strategic planning support to the role’s key business areas, guiding the client teams through the next phase of their people planning. You will also be advising on complex people issues and driving change where necessary.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice to designated business areas that informs commercial decisions
and mitigates risk - Work closely with the HR Business Partners and the People Director on the continued implementation of the firm’s people plans
- Partner your business areas on strategic people issues, taking into account commercial factors, both firm and employee performance and future plans/pipelines, including strategic resource planning
- Partner with the business to develop and review processes and structures, identifying and driving projects as required and seeking opportunities to innovate and introduce/manage change
- Drive and develop talent development and succession planning activities
- Assess the development and training needs within your business areas and work alongside the L&D team to support in the design and delivery of programmes that feed into the firm's people plans and overall strategy
- Attend and actively participate in management/partner meetings to drive people initiatives
Essential experience
- Strong career history in BDHR within the legal or professional services sector
