Disclosure Officer - Information Governance & Risk Management

Our client, an international not for profit organisation, is looking to recruit a Disclosure Officer to join the team.

The role offers a mix of remote working with 1-2 days per week based at the head office in Manchester City Centre.

The team is responsible for providing Freedom of Information, Environmental Information, Subject Access Request, and Transparency advice to stakeholders across the organisation.

The role will focus on the following; providing advice on handling information access requests in line with UK legislative requirements (e. Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Environmental Information Regulations, Public Sector Information Re-Use Regulations) with the Disclosure Manager regularly to provide updates on the open case work and any issues that have arisen. Ensuring that any complex issues are escalated and that the business area is informed of any decisions made by the Disclosures Team and to consult with third-parties where necessary.

To be considered for the role it is essential that you have previously experience of managing Freedom of Information, Environmental Information and Subject Access Requests and the relevant exemptions. Strong organisation and IT skills and the ability to forge relationships with stakeholders at all levels is also key.
