Childcare Advocate

One of our highly regarded London Boroughs is looking for a Childcare Advocate to join their in-house legal team for an initial 3-month assignment.

The ideal Childcare Advocate will have experience conducting advocacy on childcare cases at various hearings including contested hearings lasting up to 10 days. You will be responsible for providing advice and case work on matters to include advice at planning/strategy meetings, issuing applications, liaising with client and all parties and instructing experts. Advocacy is the primary focus of the case and so the successful candidate will not be expected to carry their own caseload. You will be expected to have recent experience of Care Proceedings cases as well as PLOs, IRHs, CMCs and Directions hearings.

Previous experience within Local Government is beneficial, however if you have undertaken similar work within another sector, you are more than welcome to apply.

The role will require the candidate to attend the local courts. The client is offering working from home with this role.

Due to the urgent nature of the role, we are seeking candidates available on no more than two weeks’ notice.
