Legal Counsel, Specialist Insurance

A global insurer operating in the Lloyds market is searching for a junior-level lawyer to provide high quality legal advice to the business. As part of a small legal team you will get the opportunity to work on all legal matters relating to the group such as the negotiation and review of commercial contracts (including outsourcing and third party contracts) insurance regulatory matters, some data protection issues and assisting on corporate transactions. Other regulatory issues will include rules and regulations in relation to financial crime and conduct and you will liaise with the separate compliance and other governance teams. Contentious work tends to be outsourced but you will be required to protect against legal risk as you work on large scale projects across the organisation.

We are keen to hear from lawyers with a corporate, commercial or regulatory insurance background or possibly transferable experience from another financial services organisation. You should be have around 1-4 years qualified experience.
