Senior & Legal Counsel – FTSE 250 Business

A FTSE 250 global manufacturing business supplying the energy sector is looking to appoint two additional lawyers to their team. The organisation is targeting significant growth under the direction of a new CEO who is seeking to move the business into the FTSE 100 and this is an exciting time to join this organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Working as part of a medium sized close-nit legal team supporting the business across Europe, Africa and Middle East
• You will assume responsibility for a diverse and often complex workload
• Advise on, negotiate and draft a variety of commercial contracts such as; framework, agent, distribution, supply, procurement, collaboration, non-disclosure, software and IP agreements
• The role may also entail overseeing early stages of commercial disputes, employment issues, intellectual property rights, export control, real-estate and anti-bribery
• You will liaise and collaborate effectively with other members of the Legal team
• Be involved in large projects

We are looking for:

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or equivalent with minimum of 4 years PQE for the Legal Counsel position and 8 years PQE for the Senior Legal Counsel position
• Solid understanding of negotiating and drafting commercial contracts
• Additional experience in IP, dispute resolution or employment a benefit but not essential
• Capable of dealing with a diverse and often complex workload
• International exposure a benefit
• Able to build relationships across the business and different cultures
• You must be an energetic and driven individual able to work within a collaborative team
