We are recruiting to a Planning Lawyer position working within a well-regarded London authority.

Our London Borough client is looking for a Planning Lawyer on a locum-basis, initial 3 month rolling contract. The role offers hybrid working, with 1 day in the office per week, and they are looking to pay £30 - 43 per hour umbrella rate, dependent on experience.

This role is suitable for a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with previous experience dealing with Planning and Highways law, whether that be in local governent, other public sector or Private Practice.

Responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:

  • Providing legal advice to planning and highways teams within the Council
  • Dealing with planning appeals
  • Drafting, negotiating, and concluding section 106 and 278 agreements
  • Attending occasional Planning committee meetings
