Head of Conflicts

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced or Senior Conflicts Analyst to join a well-established UK Law Firm as a Head of Conflicts position on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to begin their management career which offers great exposure in a rapidly growing law firm. There is also an opportunity for non-qualified candidates to be sponsored through the SQE.

Reporting into the General Counsel (Legal Practice), this role will be critical in leading the day-to-day management of our Conflicts Team and managing conflict-related issues and escalations.

Some other duties include:

- Serve as the ultimate point of escalation to the Conflicts Team, resolving complex conflicts of interest issues and escalating where appropriate.

- Work closely with Head of AML (DMLRO), in particular, to provide an effective, efficient compliance function.

- Advising, supporting, and training the team where necessary in relation to conflicts, new business and process for onboarding clients.

- Apply a critical eye to the Firm's existing policies and processes to suggest continuous improvement to the conflicts or new clients onboarding procedures.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

- Strong and proven experience of advising on conflicts and regulatory issues preferably within an international law firm.

- A strong understanding of the Risk and Compliance landscape within the commercial legal sector

- Excellent working knowledge of regulatory issues affecting law firms, including the SRA Code of Conduct.

- Experience of using Intapp Conflict checking software is desirable.
