Legal Counsel / Employment Lawyer (12 months)

A leading aerospace and defence organisation is looking to recruit an Employment Lawyer to join it's in house Legal Team to cover a period of maternity leave.

Fully remote or hybrid working available.

Reporting to Head of Employment Law, the job-holder will work very closely with HR and the business.

This is an important role, advising on a wide range of employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious.

The role will focus on providing ad hoc advice to HR on a wide range of employment issues including complex grievances and disciplinary / performance processes, alleged discrimination, redundancies and senior exits. In addition you will be managing your own caseload of tribunal claims, leading negotiation strategies for settlement, conducting preliminary hearings, providing TUPE advice, industrial relations and reviewing contracts.

This is a perfect role for someone who is looking for a varied and interesting workload, and who is used to adopting a commercial and risk-based approach to employment law issues.

Applications are sought from qualified solicitors who have at least 3 years' PQE managing their own casealod of a wide range of employment law matters, both contentious and non contentious.

The role is due to start in April and has the potential to be extended beyond the 12 month period.
