Salary: £43,516 to £46,549 (pro rata for part time)

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working in partnership with the shared Legal Team to recruit a litogation lawyer to work within the Planning and Regulatory Team. This highly regarded legal team provides the full range of legal services across both authorities.

It is an exciting time to join an expanding legal team that is friendly and supportive with a strong team ethic. This is a dynamic and varied team which covers several areas of legal practice, including: planning, licensing, regulatory, public sector housing and general criminal and civil litigation. This team supports two progressive, ambitious local authorities involved in a range of exciting projects. You will be directly involved in varied and high-quality legal work and make a positive difference to our communities.

Whilst applications from experienced planning and regulatory lawyers are welcomed, we also encourage applications from lawyers with less direct experience but with an enthusiasm to develop and grow your experience in these areas with support from experienced lawyers in the team. You may be a litigation specialist looking to diversify your skill set and tackle a range of new areas. Alternatively, experienced planning lawyers who wish to add other areas of litigation to their skill set would be welcome applicants. Most importantly, we seek applications from enthusiastic and adaptable people who are motivated to use their research, analytical and communications skills to provide practical, solution-focussed legal advice to our internal clients.

Local government experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from people from all parts of the legal sector. You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister/FILEX with a current Practising Certificate. You will join a sizable team of 15 lawyers and 2 members of support staff.
