Your new company
Global company with a manufacturing site based in Cumbria. Part of a $multi-million group, you will join an established business in their European headquarters. The regulatory compliance team is responsible for ensuring safe production and legal compliance; a vacancy has arisen to provide maternity cover for a period of 12 months on a fixed term contract basis.

Your new role
Reporting into the Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will join a hardworking team in a role focussing on compliance and regulatory matters in the manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for interpreting legislation and advising the business, using a methodical approach and inquisitive mindset in order to achieve high standards in regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for horizon scanning and keeping abreast of changes in legislations. You will also get involved in projects to implement new processes and procedures.


What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have relevant experience with a scientific background in order to understand the various components used in production. You must have working knowledge of European and ideally American regulations with a track record in interpreting legislation, assessing risks and implementing processes to ensure regulatory compliance. This role would suit someone from a regulatory and compliance background who is immediately available to take on a 12 month fixed term contract. Regulatory compliance experience in either the food, pharma or medical devices sectors would be relevant.
This position could also potentially suit a future trainee solicitor, with industry experience, who is looking to apply their legal skills before commencing their training contract.
