Legal Assistant Role – Education Law Department
Cardiff
Salary from £20,000++
We are helping a well-known and very successful specialist law firm with this entry level role joining their market-leading Education Law team.
Previous experience in a legal role will be valuable but isn’t essential, and any previous experience of Education Law specifically certainly isn’t required as full training and support will be provided.
You will have strong administration and communication skills, a methodical and conscientious approach, good time management skills, and perhaps most importantly the confidence to deal with clients in a caring and professional manner at all times.
Any previous experience of working with a case management system would again be very valuable but it isn’t essential as long as you have good IT and typing skills generally and can adapt and work in a largely paperless office environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop a legal career, perhaps after academic studies, and looking for the first opportunity to be able to gain hands-on experience and insight, and in this case working in what is a very rewarding and specialist area of the law.
Day to day tasks will include :
- providing secretarial and administrative support to fee earners, including filing, copying, printing, scanning, and creating bundles
- dealing with enquiry telephone calls prior to them being passed to the appropriate fee earner
- emailing and corresponding with various parties on cases
- ability to prepare and file Tribunal/Court documentation by email
- scheduling telephone calls/meetings.
This is a full-time office based role offering a competitive entry level salary as well as a bonus holiday entitlement scheme.
Interviews are being scheduled as soon as possible for an ASAP start.
