Personal Injury Team Leader - Casualty EL/PL - Manchester
Personal Injury Team Leader EL/PL - This is an exciting role within the defendant EL/PL team of this 'top tier' defendant insurance law firm. The department handles litigated non-delegated authority files up to £100,000. The successful candidate will handle a small caseload of their own. However, a significant part of the role is to lead, motivate and supervise a team of around 10 fee earners and assistants. You will liaise directly with senior stakeholders, driving efficiencies and productivity.

- Permanent / Part-time: both permanent and part-time considered
- Reports to: Casualty HoD
- Previous experience: Candidates must have sound litigated EL/PL experience coupled with team leading experience. Candidates with some experience of supervising others and who are looking for a step up will also be considered.
Strong leadership and supervisory experience required
Although you will have your own small caseload, the main function of this role is to lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the team. The position of Team Leader is to make sure the team is run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, delivering the best service to clients. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting, developing and motivating the team through holding regular 1-2-1s and team meetings;
- Managing capacity and ensuring workloads are distributed evenly;
- Maintaining a high quality of service delivery to clients generally and in accordance with client SLAs;
- Manage key client relationships;
- Embody and be an ambassador for firm's key behaviours;
- Deliver supervision and to the fulfilment of personal targets;
- Manage general team costs and budget;
- Ensure efficient and timely billing on client matters including managing Work in Progress (WIP).
