Family Office Lawyer
An excellent opportunity has arisen at the family office of an impressive South American entrepreneur who has set up a FinTech that has reached Unicorn status.
The Role
As the individual is now 100% located in the UK they are looking at establishing a family office in London. This will be the first hire and is a really exciting opportunity.
You will be working very closely with the entrepreneur and managing a range of matters including real estate sales, purchases and developments, trusts, tax planning, aircraft leases, immigration and philanthropic matters. You can look forward to liaising with accountants, lawyers at top law firms (including Silver Circle firms) and wealth managers etc.
The Requirements
They are looking for a lawyer who has experience in private client or a related area who is looking to move into an in-house family office role. Ideally you will have experience of working with high net worth (HNW) or ultra high net worth (UHNW) individuals. Any seats during your training in property, family law or tax would be a bonus!
However more so than that experience the in-house family office lawyer will enjoy liaising with a range of people, enjoy project management and be proactive and have good strategy/commercial awareness.
As a general guide, you might be 2-5 PQE, but they are very happy to receive applications from those outside that range.
The individual is someone with strong values and the company he has set up has a real purpose to help and make a difference in society. They are keen to find someone who shares these values!
