Our client is a highly regarded international law firm based in London which offers high level capability in areas to include project development and finance. Their clients include main and sub-contractors, sponsors and developers, utilities and governments. Clients vary from Governments and Sovereign States, Financial Institutions, Infrastructure Funds UHNW investors and start-ups which have received significant investment  from their financial backers. Some of these clients are demanding and highly driven and you will have the opportunity to work closely with them.

Their lawyers advise on a wide range of infrastructure and power projects with high profile deals in the nuclear, renewable, geothermal and other sectors. They advise on offtake and capacity agreements, financings, construction, real estate and joint ventures. They work across from the major international and magic circle law firms.

They have a strong track record of advising on a wide range of projects across numerous international jurisdictions such as the U.K., U.S. Europe, Middle East, Latin America and Asia. They have recently started to engage with entities in sub-Sahara Africa in jurisdictions such as Nigeria where they are starting to see opportunities arising in the oil & gas and other sectors. As a result of significant workflow and a burgeoning pipeline, the need has arisen for the recruitment of an additional senior associate/counsel to join their busy team.

It is likely that suitable candidates will have gained experience of project finance in a rated projects practice of an international law firm with experience of advising ideally on both the sponsor/developer and finance side with nuclear sector experience.

Those with experience and contacts in the nuclear sector would be of particular interest.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work in the environment of a smaller collegiate firm which handles work that you would find in any top international projects practice. The team currently work on a hybrid basis remotely, and the intention is to continue to provide flexibility for their staff.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious firm where you will have high quality work from day one along with excellent prospects to advance your career. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the firm’s clients and to take on significant responsibility from day one. You will be encouraged to develop your own relationships and have access to the firm’s own network of contacts.

The firm is highly profitable and able to match the compensation offered by the elite law firms who are top ranked for project finance
