Principal Commercial Solicitor

We are currently seeking a Principal Commercial Solicitor to join a small Local Authority based in the East Midlands on a Permanent basis.

As well as leading a small team made up of individuals who have varying levels of experience and qualification, the successful Principal Solicitor will also be required to pick up a caseload, which may include:

• Dealing with commercial contracts & procurement
• Dealing with commercial property matters
• Dealing with planning matters

Our client is seeking a Solicitor who is a confident and experienced, as well as being comfortable with mentoring other members of the team.

This is open to both full time and part time applicants

About you

• Hold a Solicitor or Barrister
• Have significant experience of contracts, property OR planning work preferably in a local government context or dealt with local authorities from a private practice side & be willing to pick up the other areas on a leadership basis
• Experience of managing a wide and varied forms of commercial matters with minimal supervision
