Sellick Partnership are pleased to be working in partnership with a multinational retail and commercial bank who are looking for a Wealth and Business Banking Legal Counsel -to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Counsel experienced with UK regulatory framework for financial products and services to join a retail and commercial bank with a brilliant culture. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of MiFID II and regulatory context of wealth products.

We are keen to hear from those with a sound background and knowledge of regulated banking together with a thorough understanding of the retail, wealth and business banking business. This along with its drivers, challenges and market practices with specific focus on wealth matters.

Wealth and Business Banking Legal Counsel role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Act as principal contact within Legal for product lifecycle from innovation, development and delivery to specific product advice primarily focussing on our wealth division.
  • Providing high quality legal support for Santander UK's retail banking business - in particular on wealth matters
  • Effectively managing legal risk and reports in line with organisational and departmental requirements
  • Providing concise and easily understandable legal advice on medium to complex subject matters
  • Liaising with appropriate business areas to ensure that matters are appropriately supported within Legal and best practices shared with wider teams
  • Building effective and lasting relationships with all stakeholders and dealing with matters offshore in Isle of Man and Jersey.
