Your new role

In your exciting new role as Legal Counsel, you will work as part of the Corporate and Legal Affairs (CLA) department based in at global headquarters, outside of Lisburn.

You will be part of a team of lawyers and paralegal's responsible for advising the business on a broad range of legal, contractual, risk and compliance matters globally.

The established CLA team is comprised of 4 main practice areas: (i) Commercial, (ii) Corporate, (iii) IP & Data, and (iv) Property & Construction. As the company continues to expand globally, they're are keen to add an experienced Legal Counsel to support the Commercial practice area in particular.

This is a varied, challenging and exciting role offering exposure to high quality commercial contracts work across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful applicant will be responsible for negotiating high value and strategically important supply agreements with customers at the forefront of the healthcare and biotech industries. It is not necessary that you have experience in the healthcare industry to apply for the role as you will be working within a strong, collaborative team where training and mentoring will be provided.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified as a Solicitor or Barrister in Northern Ireland, England & Wales or the Republic of Ireland
  • Degree qualified (2:1 or above)
  • 3 - 5 years Post Qualification Experience
  • General commercial/corporate experience gained in a commercial law firm or in-house environment
  • Experience of drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts (customer and supplier)
  • Previous experience within a role which requires management of multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy in all work carried out
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and escalate matters as appropriate
