Commercial IP/IT (Life Sciences) lawyer 1+ years’ PQE CAMBRIDGE

Commercial law firm in Cambridge is looking to recruit a Commercial IP/IT (Life Sciences) lawyer of 1 or more years’ PQE. The team prides itself on working closely with clients as a trusted advisor for commercial and IP work, and in some cases as an external resource for over-flow of in-house work.  In-house experience can therefore be helpful but is not a requirement to be considered for this role. As such the successful candidate will thrive on close client contact and will provide comprehensive, business oriented advice, and bring extensive legal, scientific and industry specific insights to their medical device, pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. You will act for SMEs, plc’s, multi-national enterprises as well as start-ups, research institutes and spin outs providing the full range of legal, commercial and regulatory advice including licence and collaboration agreements. You will also work on IP and commercial matters for clients in other sectors, including the publishing sector. Being based in Cambridge, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the life sciences sector, working with clients at the cutting edge of scientific research, in a friendly close knit-office environment. Engaging in business development activities will also be an important part of the role. Excellent academics combined with proven experience in intellectual property and commercial work, along with a passion for Life Sciences is key.
