Associate – wide-ranging Commercial Law
Bristol
This is a really exciting and different opportunity for a private practice Commercial Solicitor to join a small team offering wide-ranging commercial legal advice to a global client base, including in areas such as commercial law, data protection, regulatory and financial services.
You will be working as part of an SRA regulated law firm, within a much larger global business, and you will enjoy the fantastic breadth of work on offer, the fast pace, the high profile clients, and the lack of restrictions, conventions and politics. Instead you will be able to power your career forward at your pace and there are excellent prospects.
Day to day the work may involve :
- drafting and negotiating transactional commercial agreements, standard agreements and terms of business for clients
- advising on intellectual property matters, and compliance areas such as GDPR and competition law
- advising on regulatory areas such as FATCA/CRS, DAC 6, ICO registration and registration of overseas entities
As a junior lawyer in the team full training, support and supervision will be provided so you may not have experience in all of these areas at the moment. Any experience of the financial services sector will be useful.
You will probably already have perhaps a year or two of strong PQE, and you will be ambitious with an appetite to break free from a more traditional role. As you would expect your personal characteristics will include a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, a natural ease working with commercial clients, and a ‘can do’ attitude at all times.
There is a competitive salary and benefits package on offer, and hybrid-working as standard.
