Knowledge Lawyer - Commercial Contracts, Liverpool
Fantastic global firm with a well established national knowledge team has an opening for a Commercial Solicitor to join the team, and take up a well-supported Knowledge Lawyer role, based in Liverpool.
The opportunity
- Join an established 5-strong Commercial Professional Support Lawyer / Knowledge Lawyer team
- Heading the team is an ex premier London firm partner, who is incredibly friendly and supportive
- The team looks after knowledge across Commercial Contracts, IP, IT, Data and Technology
- Get involved in keeping the already strong suite of precedents and boilerplate terms bang up to date
- Get involved in developing training for fee earners nationally on changing legislation and regulation which affects their practice, both nationally and to an extent, internationally
- Keep on top of what's happening in the market for the firm's clients and target clients
- Join a well-networked national PSL community at the firm
- Get to know partners and other key stakeholders across the whole Commercial Group, both nationally and in the international offices across Europe and Asia
- Build key relationships in the firm and raise awareness of the knowledge support on offer
- Opportunities to travel to other offices to meet the wider knowledge team and members of the Commercial Group
More about you
- You will be an experienced Commercial Lawyer, either qualified in England & Wales or a foreign jurisdiction with similar style commercial contracts drafting
- You will likely have at least 5 years' PQE but may have substantially more
- You will have significant drafting experience across a wide range of sometimes complex commercial contracts
- You will be an able communicator and capable of developing rapport with senior partners as well as fee earners
- Your experience may be gained in private practice in a good sized commercial firm, or within an in-house legal team, or a mix
