We are recruiting to an exciting opportunity for a Governance Solicitor to join this friendly, supportive North West Authority on a locum contract. This a locum position, offering flexibility around home-working and working hours.

Our client is looking for a qualified Solicitor, with local government experience. The successful interim Governance Solicitor will support on a range of governance matters across the Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Monitoring Officer with all aspects of Corporate Governance
  • Advising on constitutional issues and local government decision making
  • Drafting legal reports and comments on cabinet reports
  • Dealing with member enquiries/ complaints
