Role - Legal Counsel (Commercial)

To support further growth, the company seeks to recruit an additional Legal Counsel to work across the group on general commercial matters.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will have involvement in a wide variety of general commercial and contractual matters. This could include sales and procurement contracts, engineering and maintenance agreements, drafting and implementing policies, managing commercial disputes, providing general commercial advice to stakeholders, plus other ad hoc and varied matters.


About you:

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be working with, or have trained at, a leading regional, national or international private practice law firm, and have between 1-5 years' PQE.

It is hoped that applicants will have broad general commercial experience, preferably with some exposure to engineering, technical, energy or similar sectors. You should want to grow your knowledge and experience into other areas, and ideally you will be comfortable picking up a wide range of general commercial work and associated legal matters.

Hybrid working is on offer with c. 3 days in the Manchester office and 2 days from home anticipated. Some other local travel will be required.
