Commercial Disputes Paralegal

Hays are delighted to represent a leading Northern Ireland Commercial and Private Client law firm, currently seeking a Paralegal to join their Commercial Disputes team based in Belfast City Centre.


Your new role

This is a fantastic paralegal opportunity to join the leading Commercial Disputes team and work directly with senior lawyers. Duties include:

• Maintaining and monitoring court and pre-action deadlines, hearing dates and other important dates;
• Efficient document management on the case management system and hard copies;
• Preparing briefs to Counsel and bundles for court and drafting indices to same;
• Drafting routine correspondence to courts, other parties, and clients;
• Preparing accurate bills of costs based on time records;
• Electronically filing documents with the Court;
• Performing searches at companies house, land registry and the court website;
• Tracking and managing discovery;
• Research; and
• Routine telephone calls with clients and Counsel.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful candidate for this paralegal position, you will ideally have:

• Great academic credentials including a degree in Law
• Paralegal experience in a busy law firm or commercial environment
• Fantastic attention to detail - this is essential for this role
• First rate analytical and organisational skills
• Great communication skills - both written and verbal
