A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Business Acceptance Analyst (Legal Risk and Compliance) to join a leading international law firm in Liverpool City Centre.  You will be working within a busy team working to support the Business Acceptance Manager and wider team in all aspects of new client and matter intake.

You will be required to have experience in risk and compliance experience conducting client due diligence ("CDD") and conflicts analysis within an international law firm or equivalent setting.

 Duties include 
  • Undertaking all aspects of new business intake, including the conduct of client due diligence and conflict analysis.
  • Acting as an escalation point for other team members in relation to client due diligence issues and conflicts of interest, always ensuring that a suitable risk-based approach is taken and escalating upwards where appropriate.
  • Providing advice to partners, fee-earners and PAs on all aspects of client and matter inception, conflicts of interest and money laundering. This may involve out of hours support.
  • Identifying, documenting and promoting team best practice in order to support the team's efforts to standardise processes and approaches.
  • Where necessary, proactively assisting other team members with their workloads to ensure the team is collectively meeting its service level commitments.
  • Assisting with the delivery of induction training to new joiners and, as necessary, ad hoc training to others within the business.
  • Under the supervision of the Head of Risk and Business Acceptance Manager, driving the design, development and delivery of a strategic business intake project which aligns the team with the practice and the firms core sectors.
