Our client, a Local Authority based in the North West, is currently recruiting for a Contracts & Procurement Lawyer on a locum basis.
The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis, and is offering fully remote working. The hourly rate on offer is up to £60 p/h UMB, and is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Contracts & Procurement law within the Local Government setting, however this requirement can be flexible.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Handling a varied caseload of contract matters including, social care contracts, education contracts, ICT consultancy agreements and construction contracts
- Advising on procurement matters in relation to Council projects, and drafting documentation for general service agreements
- Drafting documents on a range of commercial and contractual matters, such as Council strategies, state aid, grants, constitutional matters and infrastructure
- Acting on major and high profile projects, involving large scale event agreements, and dealing with disputes on defected building works
Experience required:
- Public sector Contracts & Procurement law
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive
Working hours:
- 37 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
