Adults Safeguarding Lawyer

Salary: £42,503 - £45,495 (pro rata part-time 29 hours)

Sellick Partnership are working in partnership with small and friendly legal service within a Council in North Wales to recruit at an experienced Safeguarding Lawyer to join their existing team of Lawyers.

Key duties of the Adults Safeguarding Lawyer:

As Adults Safeguarding Lawyer, you will be primarily responsible for providing advice, assistance and representation in court in relation to adult social care, such as DOLs, Court of Protection and relevant Judicial Review matters. You may also be required to work together with other members of the team in respect of children safeguarding cases where needed.

You will be an integral part of a professional legal team delivering legal advice and support to all aspects of the Council's services, you will be a positive and highly motivated person who is confident, versatile and innovative.

Ideal requirements of the Safeguarding Lawyer:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience dealing with all aspects of adult social care matters. The ability to communicate effectively with officers internally, and externally with courts, barristers, professional bodies, and members of the public is essential as is the ability to manage your own time and workload effectively

Knowledge of the local government legislative framework and policy would be an advantage, but we welcome applications from those looking to develop these skills.

You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister/ Chartered Legal Executive with a current Practising Certificate.

The successful applicant will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services check.
