Our client, a Top 50 International Law firm, has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PSL to join its Banking & Finance team. The team are flexible on location - you can be London, Manchester or Birmingham based. Part time working will also be considered.
You will assist the Banking & Finance team with information management, research, training and development. The team has a diverse client base in the public and private sector, real estate finance, housing finance and Islamic finance and acts for local authorities, government bodies, housing associations, developers, Middle Eastern and Asian investors.
You will work on a diverse range of know-how projects, including managing the know-how database and providing regular updates to the team; creating and maintaining precedents and guidance notes; working with the innovation team to develop internal initiatives relevant to Banking & Finance; assisting with the research, preparation and presentation of seminars and training workshops; co-ordinating and rolling out departmental training and development; undertaking legal research; sharing information with the firm's other PSLs and KM services as appropriate; assisting with regulatory and compliance matters; assisting with responses to government consultations; working closely with Marketing and Bids on internal and external publications and client tenders; maintaining and developing relationships with external organisations; proactively monitoring and editing know-how to ensure that its quality and relevance is maintained; assisting in the preparation of client updates, alerts and briefings.
You will have in depth knowledge of the real estate finance market (including some debt capital markets or structured finance experience); a good understanding of legal technology and a working knowledge of document automation processes; working knowledge of Microsoft applications and other web-based search engines; excellent drafting and organisational skills; and be an effective verbal and written communicator.
This role offers an attractive salary band - anticipated to be between £90k-£115k (FTE) dependent on experience and location.
