Our client, a prestigious global Law firm, are looking for a HR Manager - Compensation & Benefits to join their growing office in London on a permanent basis. The HR Manager will work with the Head of HR - London, primarily supporting on Compensation and Benefits as well as general HR duties in the London office.

Summary


Compensation

Managing the annual review process for Business Services staff to include performance metrics and compensation changes.Build strong relationships with the management team to gain a thorough understanding of the performance level of all Business Services staff.To provide compensation, payroll and benefits reporting analysis (using internal and external data to determine market rates) on a quarterly basis.

Benefits

To ensure that the office has an appropriate suite of benefits in line with market.Regular review of the benefits packages offered in line with the market. To ensure that administration of the office's Group Personal Pension Plan is undertaken in a timely and effective way and complies with auto-enrolment provisions.Main liaison with the firm's external brokers regarding annual renewal of policies.

Payroll

To review the monthly payroll.To supervise the payroll team on a daily basis.Create and review payroll policies and procedures.

General HR Duties

General supervision of the HR team.First point of contact for escalated employee queries in the Business Services teams.Regular review of processes and policies.Assist in ensuring the firms HR records are in compliance with GDPR.Lead on all matters pertaining to the Business Services teams, including performance management, disciplinary procedures and the annual review process.

Team Mentoring

As a Manager, the post holder is expected to set a clear example for others. This includes supporting the office's strategy and values, supporting high standards of client service, improving and innovating in relation to the services they provide to the office, treating all with courtesy and respect and supporting the learning and development of any direct reports and any others within the Firm, as appropriate.

Key Skills

Minimum 5+ years management experience ideally working in a professional services or legal firm as an HR Manager;A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred;Level 5 or 7 CIPD is strongly preferred;Solid experience of managing compensation, benefits and payroll issues, both routine and complex; Highly effective writing and communications skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to communicate credibly and diplomatically at all levels;Excellent time management and organisation skills;Ability to simultaneously manage multiple highly detailed projects;Ability to manage a very busy workload within deadlines;Ability to solve problems on an immediate basis and work using initiative;Excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills;High comfort level with stressful job requirements;Professionalism under pressure;Having a strong understanding of discretion and confidentiality;Available to work additional hours where required.
