CLIENT: A unique opportunity has come up, with a new client of ours requiring a senior lawyer to head up and deal with their regulatory division.

ROLE: You'll be entering new territory on a daily basis, and this is a role that really requires a robust, but commercially viable and flexible approach. Here's some examples of the work you're likely to come across.

* Working with licensing and supervision teams on thematic and ongoing review of rulebooks and guidelines.
* Drafting and maintaining internal investigation packs and enforcement recommendations.
* Reviewing and developing an enforcement framework.
* Tracking ongoing investigations and outcomes, recommending enforcement actions, building a database repository of enforcement related measures taken.
* Conduct training on regulatory standards, identification of breaches and determining suitable enforcement outcomes.

CANDIDATE: There are some key criteria to be taken into consideration:

* You'll need at least 7+ years of post-qualified experience.
* Strong background in investigations, enforcement and financial services disputes.
* UAE work will make you a strong fit, but excellent overseas candidates can still apply.
* A top or well recognised UK or US law firm background is going to be preferable.
* Arabic is not a must, but it's going to help.
